In this masterclass, delegates will:
- Share fundamental key factors of The Reggio Emilia Approach including
- the image of the child,
- the role of the school and of the teacher
- the role of the environment
- the role of documentation
Work in small groups to formulate practical ways to contextualise a Reggio Emilia Approach within your own school environment
In this hands-on masterclass, delegates will:
- Understand the role of design thinking•Delve into the maker movement
- Interact with an array of makerspace technologies
- Experience the application of Cultures of Thinking into a makerspace
- Understand the practical considerations for setting up and running a makerspace
- Explore strategies for how to move from co-curricular to curricular engagement and generate buy-in from management, teachers, students and parents
- Formulate practical ways to explore maker centred learning in your own school environment
In this masterclass, delegates will:
- Understand Cultures of Thinking and the underpinning research
- Explore the cultural forces
- Interact with a variety of thinking routines
- Experience the process of documentation and its role in creating a culture of thinking in your school
- Formulate practical ways to deepen the culture of thinking in your own school environment
