Meals
All meals provided at the conference will be nut-free and kosher, with vegetarian and GF options. Unfortunately further dietary requirements cannot be accommodated. We don’t do special/designated meals.
Terms and Conditions
By registering for the event, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below:
General
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. All references to “we”, “our” and “us” are references to Flying Colours Events and Bialik College.
Delegate List
By registering for the Conference, you agree to be included in the official delegate list, which may be supplied to delegates, sponsors and exhibitors. Your name, position, organisation, state/country and email address may be included in this list.
If you do not consent to being included in the delegate list, please contact the Conference Manager.
Special requirements
If you have special requirements which could affect your participation in the event, it is your responsibility to inform Flying Colours Events or Bialik College as soon as possible. Whilst it may not be possible to guarantee that your needs can be accommodated, every reasonable effort will the made to do so, and can only be done with prior advice.
Dietary requirements
All food provided will be Kosher, and there will be Vegetarian and Gluten Free options available. If you have additional dietary requirements and are concerned about eating the food provided, it is recommended that you bring your own lunch and snacks, or source them from a nearby food outlet.
Photography and Filming
Photographs and videos of you may be taken during your participation in the Conference. By participating in the Conference, you consent to the Bialik College, the conference committee and future Cultures of Thinking Conferences using these photographs/videos for promotional, news, multimedia, research or educational purposes.
If you do not consent to your image being used, you must advise the Conference Manager.
Payment Policy
Registration payments are required at the time of booking. If you require other payment terms please contact us directly.
Note: Your registration is at risk of being cancelled until payment is received in full.
Cancellation Policy
Registration cancellations will not be accepted unless made in writing to the Event Manager.
Cancellations received up until 10 clear business days prior to the event, will be refunded less 25% for administration fees (please note if you have not paid you will still be invoiced for this amount). No registration refunds will be made after this date. Full cancellation fees will also apply to non-paid accounts after this date.
As an alternative to cancellation, your registration may be transferred to another person in your organisation, if advised in writing no later than 48 hours prior to the commencement of the event.
Accommodation
The Cultures of Thinking Conference has partnered with Quest Apartments, providing a 15% off Best Available Rate for Conference Accommodation for specific nearby properties. Delegates will be provided with a Promotion code with their registration confirmation.
Please arrange accommodation directly with the supplier.
• Accommodation can be paid for at the time of booking, or on arrival.
• Accommodation rooms are limited and allocation will be strictly on a first-come first-served basis.
• Please book your accommodation as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
• The accommodation availability and prices shown are current at time of publication, however, they are subject to change without notice in accordance with the terms and conditions of each supplier.
• Please ensure that you read the terms and conditions carefully before completing your booking as terms differ for each hotel.
Liability
Without affecting any of your statutory consumer rights that cannot be lawfully excluded or limited: a) we will not be liable for any losses, damages, liability, claims or expenses (howsoever caused, including negligence, and whether direct, indirect or consequential) arising from the use of or connected with our site or any products or services purchased on our site, and b) we make no warranty or representation as to the fitness or suitability of any product or service displayed on our site or any linked site. Where our liability cannot be excluded, to the extent permitted by law such liability is limited to the value of the booking made. We sell accommodation from inventory supplied by each accommodation provider and we do not over-sell that inventory (we cannot accept liability for unavailability of rooms caused by an accommodation provider over-selling its own inventory).
Privacy Policy
In order to fulfil its activities, Flying Colours Events collect and hold personal information about delegates registering or expressing interest in our events. Flying Colours Events is committed to protecting the privacy of this personal information, and ensuring that it is properly secured and managed in accordance with legislative requirements. Your information will only be provided back to the committee and organisation and is not provided to any other third-party provider by Flying Colours Events in relation to the event. On some occasions contact details are provided by the owner of the event for the purpose of marketing the next event. This data is held in trust by Flying Colours Events, and is then returned to the owner at the conclusion of the event. Credit card details processed during online bookings by the booking platform (Trybooking) are not collected or held by Flying Colours Events.
Flying Colours Events does not use any of its databases to market any other product or service.
